Kathleen O’Brien

Kathleen has a strong background in talent acquisition, strategic planning, and operational leadership. Prior to joining TAC Healthcare Strategies, Kathleen held the position of Director of Talent Acquisition for Discovery Behavioral Health. In this role, she spearheaded recruitment efforts for over 150 residential and outpatient programs as well as all corporate positions. She was responsible for implementing innovative strategies to fill challenging positions and collaborating closely with departmental leaders to optimize hiring processes. Kathleen has also held roles as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing the expansion of over 50 residential and PHP/IOP programs across multiple states. Her journey includes direct care and facility leadership roles, ensuring facilities maintain compliance with regulatory standards while managing counseling staff and operations. Kathleen is active in her community, serving as a board member for a non-profit organization that supports her neighborhood school, where she has helped contribute to a 20% increase in fundraising. In addition to her professional experience, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Michigan State University and loves to travel with her husband and two kids.
