Through our specialty in forming nonprofit partnerships, Glick Davis & Associates is pleased to announce the acquisition of our client Residence XII, a highly-respected addiction treatment provider for women in Kirkland, Washington, by Newport Academy. Our team’s 18-month engagement with the Residence XII board and leadership helped to identify Newport Academy, a client-centric national leader in residential treatment and lead negotiations and ultimate acquisition. The acquisition both retains Residence XII’s stellar local service model for women and creates a stand-alone Residence XII Foundation whose mission is to provide financial support for women who cannot afford the cost of addiction treatment and recovery.
Residence XII’s acquisition marks the 32nd partnership Glick Davis & Associates has led in the nonprofit field in the past 25 years, spanning multiple sectors including behavioral health, education, housing, environment, youth sports, and youth services. Nonprofit mergers and partnerships are becoming increasingly common to address structural and financial barriers in the field and to strengthen mission impact and outcomes. We look forward to continuing to support these strategies that strengthen and sustain nonprofits in 2020.
